Michèle Mottu Stella (1968) is a founding partner of Prevanto AG. As an accredited actuary in occupational pensions, she works with a number of pension institutions of differing sizes in various industries. In addition, she is responsible for a major cantonal pension fund.
Michèle Mottu Stella completed her studies in economics at the University of Geneva and, since 1999, has been a Swiss-certified pensions insurance expert. For her degree, she dedicated her thesis to the merger of two pension funds and the consequences of a reduction in personnel.
Michèle Mottu Stella was appointed as Head of Consulting at Swisscanto Prévoyance SA Lausanne in 2014. From 1998 until the commencement of her work as a board member at Swisscanto Pensions Ltd. in 2005, Michèle Mottu Stella worked in the “Actuarial Benefits & Insurance Solutions” department at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as a Senior Manager, 18 months of which she spent as an expat in London. Prior to that, she worked at a life insurance company for four years.
Michèle Mottu Stella has more than 25 years of experience in the Swiss pensions market. In addition to traditional actuarial consulting for private law pension schemes and public law pension schemes financed by way of partial capitalisation with defined contribution or defined benefit plans, she specialises in the application of international accounting as well as due diligence mandates.
Michèle Mottu Stella is a member of the Swiss Chamber of Pension Actuaries, the Swiss Association of Actuaries and was a member, vice-president and president of the supervisory board of the Canton de Vaud Pension Fund (CPEV) as an employer representative.
