Stephan Wyss (1966) is a founding partner of Prevanto AG. As an accredited occupational pensions actuary, he is responsible for various large and medium-sized pension funds in a variety of industries, including a number of cantonal pension funds.
Stephan Wyss completed his business administration studies at the University of St. Gallen and, since 1996, has been a Swiss-certified pensions insurance expert. As part of his further professional development, he dedicated his thesis to an asset/liability analysis of pension institutions. In addition, he obtained the Swiss financial analysts and asset managers diploma.
From 2005 until the establishment of Prevanto AG in 2015, Stephan Wyss was Head of Consulting at Swisscanto Pensions Ltd Zurich. From 1999 until the takeover of the "Actuarial Benefits & Insurance Solutions" department by Swisscanto Pensions Ltd., Stephan Wyss worked as a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Prior to that appointment, he worked at a competitor as well as for a major Swiss bank for seven years.
Stephan Wyss has more than 20 years' experience in the Swiss pensions market and, besides the traditional actuarial business, specialises in public pension institutions, issues relating to international accounting as well as asset/liability analysis. He has participated in numerous due diligence mandates to assess the risks related to pension solutions. As a long-standing expert in the pensions market, combined with his broad technical knowledge, he provides valuable and comprehensive services to customers.
Stephan Wyss is a board member of the Swiss Chamber of Pension Actuaries, a member of the Swiss Association of Actuaries and an examiner for the main examination as pensions insurance expert.
